The gift of nature to mankind was incomparable to anything. Nature sustained our needs as we grow up and stayed by our side but what have we done? Littering, pollution, destruction etc. and now humans are receiving a global warning about a global problem. Mother earth is now sick and ill and there is a big threat ahead of us if we continue our dirty and filthy ways.
We need to change our ways, of course and start helping nature. We must volunteer in green organizations that help mother earth. Volunteerism is one way of showing our love and care to our environment. We can follow the 3 R’s (reduce, reuse, recycle) and make it a habit. It is a good way to follow these and it can mean a lot to mother earth. We could also try tree planting. Tree planting is one of the most potent ways of protecting our planet. There are only fewer trees that hold our soil which is why flashfloods and landslide always occur. Many animals are also extinct nowadays because of illegal hunting. If these continue there will be no more animals walking with humans in the face of the earth so we must help these poor creatures. Saving an endangered animal is a great deed indeed. We must avoid throwing and dumping our waste in the bodies of water. We must learn the proper disposal of garbage because this garbage will come back to us if we don’t dispose them properly. We could conserve water as one way in helping mother earth. Instead of using vehicles in going to school, offices etc. you could just use a bicycle. This can help in reducing air pollution. Another way is walking, you cannot just save mother earth but also save your poor health and from being lazy.
It is now the high time to do our own share in protecting Earth and her wonderful creatures. The nature will always find ways to fight back to protect herself from destructive human activities, let us not wait for that to come. Before it is too late, let us held hands and help in giving mother earth the best medicine she could ever have.
